Rick Blood, LCPC

Rick Blood is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor.  He has been in practice in the Boise area since 2002.
Rick’s past experience includes addiction treatment with adolescents and adults, anger management and domestic battery treatment, and working with youth and parents within the public school system.  He also has training in EMDR (Level 1).

His current areas of clinical interest include adults and adolescents over the age of 15, dealing with Anger management, Abuse/trauma, Depression, Anxiety, Marriage and relationship problems, Family and parenting, and Weight Management.

Therapy is difficult!  Rick’s initial goal in treatment is to provide a positive and non-judgmental atmosphere where clients can face difficult issues.  His focus is on current struggles and behaviors, while recognizing that the roots of our current problems sometimes lay in past hurts.  Healing those hurts so that we can become productive and happy individuals is the ultimate goal of therapy.
While Rick is a Christian, he is happy to work with people from any religious background.
Rick grew up in the Treasure Valley where he still lives with his beautiful daughter.  When not in the office, Rick enjoys spending time in the gym, hiking/running, cooking with friends, or woodworking.
