Jacob A Zimmerman, Ph.D.

Dr. Zimmerman is a licensed clinical psychologist who provides individual psychotherapy to adults. He earned his B.A. degree in psychology at Temple University and his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in clinical psychology at Washington State University. Dr. Zimmerman completed his pre-doctoral internship at the State University of New York (SUNY) Upstate Medical University, followed by a post-doctoral supervised psychological employment experience at a certified community behavioral health clinic (CCBHC) in Rochester, Minnesota.

 

Dr. Zimmerman strives to establish a strong therapeutic alliance with his clients to support them as they move toward their unique goals. Dr. Zimmerman’s approach to psychotherapy is integrative. He seeks to provide a supportive and collaborative atmosphere to explore one's presenting concerns and treatment goals, and he invites clients to consider empirically supported principles of change and tasks that may facilitate new insights and actions that are helpful and consistent with those goals. He considers it a great privilege to be trusted in the therapeutic process.
